Stateline is a census-designated place ("unincorporated town") in Douglas County, Nevada, United States. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 1,215.
Because gambling is legal in Nevada, many of the hotels in the neighboring town of South Lake Tahoe, California organize buses to take residents to the casinos in Stateline. The state line between the one towns runs down the middle of a well-known street, but otherwise the towns appear to the casual visitor as one town.
Some of the largest casino's in Stateline are MontBleu, Harrah's Lake Tahoe, Horizon Lake Tahoe, and Harvey's Lake Tahoe. Another well-known feature of Stateline is Kingsbury Grade.
